I was born in Guatemala Central America-
a so called “Third World country” where still a part of the country lives like
five hundred years ago, without electricity, running water, education, sanity,
etc. We had a war for more than thirty years. I was born during the climax
of this war (1981). It was a war that started with the ideal of giving more
rights and privileges to Indigenous people but then it became a war of ideologies
with no winners only losers; since generations of people were whipped out from
the face of the earth.
I come from a family where people enjoy doing community service and because of
that I love to help people. Since I am eight years old I have been involved
in helping others.
I got married 6 months ago; I had to move to South Carolina since my husband
works here. Now I am starting my new life and I am learning to love every moment
of it. I found in painting the company and happiness I was looking for.
I will like to make a difference in the world and I believe I can do that by
giving my heart to what I do and to those that are around me.
