ARTYCITY - Who are we?

This site was conceptualised by Jo Griffin (the infamous Goldsmiths College history of art student)
and realised by Waynne Smith (Frustrated artist and web designer!)

ARTYCITY - Why are we?

Jo noticed that the work produced around her by other art students was of a very high standard.
Sadly the work was never sold for a number of reasons. Students do not have money to pay for advertising or exhibitions.
The artists lifestyle however does not lend itself to marketing and selling art work as a great deal of time and business
acumen is required. The gap in the market was for a website which became a showcase for artists work and also
became a regular meeting place for Artisans and Arty fans to hang out. Hence Arty City was born. We have
been running for a couple of years now and hope to continue to provide great and compelling content.
